I love the nerdiness of the old modem test combined with the adventuresome side in urban exploring. Great photos. I will definitely keep checking in from time to time. :)
I knew someone who worked here in the '70s,probably till it closed. I've been searching for him......Sad to see such waste and abandonment! But it's everywhere! Even in this very small SC town I live in!! Unbelievable waste! Do much could be recycled! This is way too CONTAMINATION !Anyone know where I could get employee records for this business? Thanks for your pictures!
We loaded the family into the T210 and headed to Palm Springs, CA for a weekend trip to Joshua Tree National Park . For this trip we reserved a quirky, cute little mid-century mod AirBNB home in Joshua Tree, CA, right up the street from the north entrance to the park. FIRST CAR: The car was a 2011 Ford Focus with 152200 miles on it (and a TPMS warning light.) I noticed immediately upon leaving in it that it drove like a broken shopping cart: Vibrated, and pulled left. The transaxle made a loud whining noise that varied with the automobile's speed (not the engine RPM.) On our way to the AirBNB we attempted to take this vehicle on the highway and it immediately revealed that it wasn't suitable for highway use. At 55 MPH it began to shake violently. It wouldn't...
