K.C.'s 1972 Datsun 240Z Restoration

2002.01.11 - Happy New Year!

Well, another year has rolled by! Now that the holiday season is behind me, I'm straightening out my budget to buy the needed parts to continue the car. I plan to order a complete clutch kit from Motorsport Auto next week, along with some various needed gaskets, hoses, &etc. Then I'll have some friends over for a put the engine back in the car party.

Tomorrow, I plan on finishing the rear suspension (with pictures, I promise!) and cleaning up some miscellaneous things in the engine compartment. Stay Tuned!

2002.01.16 - oops!
Did I promise something? Didn't get to the car last weekend. Today, however, I did order a replacement clutch kit. Since the car I'm working on is a bit iffy, I decided to go with an inexpensive OEM replacement clutch, instead of a performance one. NOPI Online had the SACHS clutch kit for $120. I decided that was a deal and ordered it. I also ordered some miscellaneous parts from carparts.com. Specifically, a clutch hydraulic hose, water outlet gasket (for the therm housing), and a clutch alignment tool.
