First effort with HDR

High Dynamic Range imaging, or HDRI is the process of creating images with a broader range of contrast than is displayable with conventional photography methods. HDR imagery combined with a technique called "Tone Mapping" gives the digital photographer the ability to reveal contrast detail not normally capturable with conventional photography processing.

Each of the photos below is a composite of three pictures taken in Aperture Priority (Av) mode with Auto Exposure Bracketing (AEB) +/- 2 stops. The HDR combining and processing was done with Photomatix.
